Hip Hop

Joke right? 'Ye didn't even start messing with Clipse until 2009 (Arguably their worst period), but I will say that solo Push and Kanye are a great duo.

I am just saying that Kanye enhances everything he touches.
And I think Id be far less likely to like something that is produced by neptunes.
Darkest Before The Dawn is better than Daytona and Kanye only does one track on that and the neptunes dont do any. Also have you even listened to the Clipse? I feel like noone could listen to those early albums and still bash Neptunes production.

Neptunes are okay they do have some nice tracks here n there.

Sure neptune fans like neptunes over kanye. No biggy.

.The only people that I could compare to Kanye would be people like George Clinton or a Maurice White. Sun Ra or a Herbie Hancock. Tupac or a Pimp C. He's this philosophical, transcendental artist; that at the same time is often poorly spoken, or neurotic at times but he truly sees the landscape when it comes to popular culture, and rather then conforming to it he innovates it. And we've had people like that throughout history, and we always try to keep these people confined into their niche like Warhol with paint, or actors with acting...but he often tries to defy that by entering fields that 'rappers' or even just 'musicians' don't go into...and I respect that. I think that is where a lot of his misguided praise of Trump came from, however dumb it was. But that wasn't his point anyway I suppose.

I wake up to a targeted Instagram ad (I swear they are the only social that does advertising right) from the good folk at Get On Down announcing a reissue of the Neo-Soul/Hip-Hop classic Groove Theory and I am beyond hype. I was randomly discussing this album with y partner like two, three weeks back, I think "they" are listening. https://getondown.com/collections/frontpage/products/groove-theory-2xlpGET_51331_GROOVE_THEORY_Groove_Theory_LP_1024x.jpg

Yeh I posted this earlier.

Pretty cool stuff. Anyone else gonna grab it?

I just heard of this guy earlier this week. I saw a video of him in a hotel room putting together a song.

Yeah dude is a beast how he can just knock those grooves out. Does anyone know what that sampling pad he is using is called? The thing with the 4 or 5 colorful buttons.

Also here's him and Fantano jammin out...who knew Fantano could play bass so well?

^He uses that machine I'm wandering about to pitch his voice up and down in this vid. I want that thing.

EDIT- Nvmnd figured it out, it's a Boss RC-505
