guys, a request for the Shamrock team... (@Joe Mac )
would it be possible to put a link to the International PIF thread at the top of this thread?
It would be nice to catch more interest and get more contributors

Yeah definitely that’s a great idea! I’ll get on it!

I noticed you hit up the U.K. & EU team too, great work PIF Commissioner @panino

As part of the Trinity Summer Series, there's also
- Vampire Weekend - 1st of July
- Paul Weller - 4th
- New Order - 7th

Anyone here has seen the "Irish songs" AnPost stamp collection and in particular the 7" replica set? I'd be curious to see some pictures - otherwise I might just go to the GPO soon, they probably have it on display.

An Post has also produced a limited edition set of four replica ‘7” single’ replica discs which is a perfect souvenir item for collectors and music fans.

Anybody in Malahide this weekend? Was there for The Cure and escaped this summer weather.

I’ve been debating it all week. doves v I hate big outdoor gigs. I think the weather has won this round! Hopefully they’ll come back headlining and play somewhere like the Olympia!

They will definitely be back, at least that is what I am telling myself. Thought about going anyway but no.

Enjoyed last Saturday, the line up was good and well suited rather than insert random band that promoter uses to fill a slot but doesn't fit with the rest of the bill.

Man, Durand Jones in Whelans...

I am having terrible luck with concerts and timing this year. Nubya Garcia - got tickets only to be struck down with a really bad virus for 24 hours.
I'm in work till 3 in Belfast, I'd have to get to Dublin for 7:30 and then drive home after to be up for work at 7 the next day. Bloody mandatory staff training too. Not even days I can get around. I'm gonna sleep on it.

The touring schedule of lots of bands seems to be leaving out Belfast now, it’s like we’re heading back into the 80s. Like Janelle Monae would easily fill Ulster Hall say. I missed Lemonheads earlier this year due to a flu and have caught less concerts this year than any other since i’ve Started going.

Also in new gig news Black Pumas are in Dublin in November, gunna have to get tickets for that one!

I didn’t think it was Whelans but that what it says on the official site. Black Pumas album is also fantastic and that one is on a Saturday! Yay! But another band not having BELFAST on their list @Murfocakes

I think it’s a lot to do with the venues these days. They seem to be pigeonholing that certain acts won’t sell here. Alternative or dance seems to be the main genres. Blacks box always seems the best bet these days but it’s small.

I also think Spring & Airbreak and the like book up heritage acts a year in advance so you can see Cast, Kula Shaker or Thunder but no one current
