Pre-Order Thread

Yah I had a coworker ask me if I would go to that and I said, "no. I mean, I was there." Which is the most music snob response I've ever given.
"No man, I was there when they were good for real, not just milking it for the divorce lawyer's bills or whatever"

Rhino is reissuing some titles for Black History Month and and few titles have been popping up including Aretha's Young Gifted and Black, Curtis' Roots and a personal fave of mine, George Benson's Breezin'

Some great stuff on that list. Wish they'd include the mastering details.

Acoustic Sounds lists Roots as a 2019 remaster, which is either a mistake or they know it is a repress from the 2019 Curtis box, which was a CB cut.

I think ...America Today and Young, Gifted and Black must be new cuts though unless I missed a box set they were in.

New Flyying Colours is finally out now for preorder.

This one has taken a long time to get released. Really good Shoegaze stuff. Highly recommend it.

Unfortunately it's pricey...
If anyone has a cheaper option for this please let me know. I've been waiting for this for a while. Thanks

Before they increased the shipping prices, I used Juno to pick up Club AC30 releases, but the other catch is you have to wait until the album is released

90% of the time the past few years these types of reissues have sounded good. I’d probably take my chance on them too.

I randomly checked out the Dogknights Records label and saw that this album was getting a first time pressing. It was unfortunately sold out though. I searched all over frantically and even got in contact with a member of the band but no go.

That was until I spotted it on Rough Trade! The member of the band told me that there were about 100 copies being sold through Red Eye distribution for small indie stores to order. I'm guessing that this is a part of that.

I do not know how many of these are left here, but it's sold out completely everywhere else so this is it until more indie stores get copies.

For those who don't know, this album has sorta taken on a mythical status and became really popular underground and from views on YouTube. The band only did this one release and a split ep and maybe a single or two.

Imagine Godspeed You! Black Emperor mixed with some Midwest Emo and indie stuff like The Microphones.

Total cult status right here.

Thanks for the tip. I totally forgot to check Juno. I'll also check Norman as well. Maybe even Rough Trade UK.

FOR SHOEGAZE FANS!

Less than 20 left at the time I write this. Long out of print and always goes for lots of money. The debut album by Shoegaze band Fleeting Joys. They release albums in very limited quantities so get this now if you can.
Love this. Ordered, but it said they were at “-6” copies. Do they press to demand? I got charged, but not sure they’ll fulfill or refund.

That doesn’t sound very reassuring. :-(. I ordered from Rough Trade US but it is sold out now also on both sides of the pond. Looks like Norman UK is showing stock at the moment.

As a person from Connecticut, I have a newfound interest in this band's name - especially since they're seemingly from Canada. What is the newfound interest in CT? I mean, we have Pez and P.T. Barnum; great pizza and Yale; Paul Simon and Martha Stewart. Okay, I get. These things deserve an album about them.

Wow that's crazy! I'm not sure how they do pressings on there. It was the first time I ever been to that site. I saw that they still had copies of the debut album by Film School on there and I remember that being posted on here a long time ago. I hope you get it!
