FWIW my copy on the original pressing sounded super clean, looks great, and felt worth the buy. No regrets though I heard pressing quality varied

Ah variant 2/27,000 that can all be described as pretty but sound like shit.

Bummed to hear that. I was waiting to find this, as it seemed to be sold out everywhere. Put it in my cart, looked on discogs, saw 95% of the reviews said it was a bad pressing. Is the plain black any better?

I don’t know, I have the green/blue peacock. Whilst the crackle could be down to fancy pressing the fact that it sounds like it was mastered down a telephone is going to affect all presses. Dead Oceans suck. Is sad cuz it’s a great album, I just tend to listen to it much more often on hi res streaming.

I think you’ve got it twisted. The subject is accountability and integrity NOT limited runs. Keeping a company honest is important, and absolutely something we all on this forum have united over when talking about “you-know-who”. It’s simple really, I expect a company to keep its word and I feel betrayed as a customer when they don’t.

100% agree with you on accountability, and this is universal for any company selling goods not just Very Meaty Pizza. The thing that will absolutely tank your business is breaking promises. For me that's buying something then being told it was oversold, or saying something will ship in a particular month and not shipping it. Once may be forgivable, but when it starts happening repeatedly it's going to be a real fucking problem.
