Its a shame really, because I DO like the product.
Yeah I mean I love the one I have, it sounds epic and if we’re just talking gear that’s the one I’d say to get. Probably still would over here. But yeah totally get what you’re saying.

I'm also considering the Bryston BP-2 MM and MM / MC phono stage. They are made right here in Canada and their warranty is apparently second to none. Jason carries the brand and is going to get me the pricings a little later on today.
Be aware that one of the founders/designers recently passed. I’m not sure how/if that affects things moving forward.I'm also considering the Bryston BP-2 MM and MM / MC phono stage. Fair enough, will see what he comes back with.Looks like a really nice option but looking at the list price over here it’s taking you into a whole new price range with a completely different set of much leaner and fitter sharks than what you’d been considering previously!
Edit: on U.K. prices it’s competing with the Moon 310 rather than 110 and isn’t far off the price of a Sutherland 20/20 for example.
Probably out of the running now that I found out you need to power it with the PS3 power supply.Fair enough, will see what he comes back with.

Plus no import duties. As much as I love mine and would probably say buy it, if you didn’t have an ocean to send it back over for warranty repairs, I’d probably be going for the moon if I was in your shoes.
Yikes! I'm looking at $2300 plus tax for the BP2 MM and PS3 power supply and $3050 plus tax for BP2 MM / MC and PS3...not gonna happenProbably out of the running now that I found out you need to power it with the PS3 power supply.

Looking more likely.Plus no import duties.
I'm simply doing my due diligence and exploring all options. It is, of course, your money, but I would caution against hopping aboard the price creep treadmill that you appear to be eyeballing.
No judgment! Was just observing a general upward trend in unit price the further along the discussion went.I'm simply doing my due diligence and exploring all options.

I'll mind my own business.
Not at all. Your opinion is always welcomed.I'll mind my own business
I liked my Sphinx v2 a lot, but ended up going full tubes after about a year. No complaints with the Sphinx itself, just felt the 100w/ch was wasted on my speakers.Currently on my short list to research:
Rogue Audio Sphinx v3
Yamaha S-A801
Marantz PM8006
Never had one, but if I had to replace the NAD I would be looking at the Sphinx intentlyCurrently on my short list to research:

I don't need any help in doing things like this sir, stop stirring the pot, lol....................in answer to your question, yes I have.Would you not be tempted to run both phono stages into the Luna?
