Vinyl Me Please Essentials

My cat sounds coming from the UK has been in the mail since August 11th... And a PIF from New Jersey sent Aug 8th JUST got to my local post office today.

Meow The Jewels. Don't ask me why. It's the dumbest album I've ever bought. As soon as I saw how it came to be created, and the fact that the jacket is covered in actual fake fur, I had to have it.
Haha, I can't believe someone actually bought that, good on ya. I still need RTJ2 to complete the collection but man, I do not feel like paying those prices.

Yep. I bought it. Although I only paid about $45 CAD new. Currently going for closer to $100 so when I get sick of it I'll make my money back... that is if it ever arrives....

As for 2 I'm almost certain it's getting a repress, you should be good in about a month or so I believe.

Hope so. Still waiting for that Fantastic Damage that El-P promised as well. Got lucky and someone turned in a used mint copy of RTJ1 at Sonic Boom.

That's funny because I got a used Mint RTJ 3 at Rotate about a month ago, for not cheap. RIGHT before the reissue came out. That was the SECOND stupidest purchase I've ever made.

Managed to track down a copy of RTJ3 a few weeks back from an amazon seller. I honestly don't know when it's coming or what I'm getting but it's entering the last week of the estimated arrival window. I honestly have never entered Rotate This but I feel like I need to stop there next time I'm in the city.

I run with bone conduction headphones so I can still hear my surroundings when I'm on paved trails in the city. I find playlists with a specific BPM (125-140 for medium tempo runs, 150-160 for speed work) help me to get my cadence right.
But, when I'm on long runs in the woods, no headphones so I can listen for wildlife. No one wants to surprise a bear.

Fucking bears 🐻😳
I’d be lucky to see a squirrel.
High tempo tunes are my running mate / trainer - Alongside my most fave toy - My Garmin Forerunner - music without a phone 🕺🏼

Yeah they just repressed 3 so that's likely what you got. Most likely... It's identical to the OG just no sticker sheet.

As for Rotate it's... Not great. Lots of attitude and their vinyl tends to be not in the best shape. It's worth a look, but I wouldn't rate it as a top Toronto store.

@Mather

Yeah, I hear the distortion bursts in the right channel at the end of side A too. It's not overpowering, but it's annoying. Definitely takes this out of my "headphone albums" rotation.

My cart is a Shibata too. Surely not as analytical as the Ort, but the distortion is definitely there on my copy.

I went Suunto. Mainly because I got sick of so many people asking me what Garmin I used. Plus I liked being able to run for a week without charging it.

Obviously in the days before my knee and doggos hip went a bit knackered. Now it's occasional slow plods.

Yeah I fear this might be a tough one to get a clean copy of. After A VERY thorough cleaning four times over I now only have those bursts at the end of Side 1 and lots of pops for the final few minutes of Cop Shoot Cop...

Mine's not clean yet - I just played through that part of the album to check. I don't have much hope this will be fixed after the wash cycle. I only use a spin-clean anyway - I wouldn't expect it would be a deep enough clean.

I didnt pick upon any distortion but my c/d definitely isn't as flat as my a/b. Not impacting on the sound but definitely there or there abouts the point it might annoy me

No that's a pressing issue for sure. There was other noise I was able to clean out. But that distortion and the pops are on the vinyl.

Where do you recommend? Our collection really started picking up steam once we moved out of the city, so aside from Sonic Boom we haven't done much browsing in the city, even now there's not much need to go into Sonic Boom since their collection is online and delivery is pretty cheap compared to gas/parking.
