Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

I mean this happens anytime they give you store credit. When they gave people $40 store credit for screwing up swaps for Grace and Bandana, they still ended up coming out on top.

But the way I read this Is that you’ll get store credit for your main sub if you don’t want anything based on what you pay. If you’re paying $27 a month, you’ll get a $27 store credit. From what I can gather they are simply doing this because they don’t want to fix their website or do manual swaps anymore.

Hmmm, I guess we’ll see. I read it as this not changing your membership in any way,you’re just trading in one month of your original membership for $27 store credit. If you want to use that $27 to renew the by all means, but your original membership is still ending on the same day and you’ll still not be able to get member exclusive store drops after your original membership end date.

Oh yea--well if your membership is ending, then it's ending and you wouldn't get a swap either way. Your membership does not expire until the 1st of the month so if say, for June, you have one month left on your membership, you can swap for store credit, use that store credit in the future and your membership does not technically expire until July 1 when next month goes live. But then if you want to use that store credit in July, yes--you could only get non-member exclusives (or use the loop hole if it still exists).

I seeee what you’re saying. So essentially somebody who’s not interested in the ROTM’s can pay $29 once for the privilege to buy any member exclusives forever by just continuing to choose to exchange for store credit. That’s actually pretty smart, still won’t change the fact that non-member flippers can buy 50 member exclusives 20 seconds after release, but if they ever care enough to fix that then yeah... very worthwhile idea.

Does that mean they'll only offer previous records of the month as a swap or would they also offer other items available in the store? Or is that considered a swap exclusive or is it only a swap exclusive when it's a sold out title coming back for swaps.

Sure would like some of their store releases.

Yea--essentially instead of cancelling your membership or being forced to swap for something you don't want, you can keep membership but just get store credit to use in the future in the amount of your monthly subscription. I wish they would let you do a "pause" like Secretly Society lets you do. With SS, if you don't like the album of the month, you can tell them to pause it for a month and they add a month at the end of your subscription.

It seems to only be former ROTMs that are in stock along with:

The other interesting thing here is that it seems that they are closing out being able to get a $40 store exclusive for a $23 add-on now.

Makes me wonder if I should already email them now so it's at the top of the pile come may 26.

I'm in for the white stripes so I'm just going to ask them to add a track for me and swap shabaka. I'm also going to send them the email they sent me last month that said they would be happy to send it to me the following month when it was "released" - i asked for it last month and it made no sense that they told me this as it already has a street release date but not a vmp release date.

None have sold, so those wishful prices are not indicative of actual value at the moment.

Unless they change their policies (not unlikely with all these other changes), based on the misunderstanding that CS had with my issue, they seemed happy to swap me for Shabaka, so I'd say there's still hope.

You can already add a track right now, just can't swap.

My buddy was recently told that his David Gray wouldn't get shipped out any time soon because they did not have them in the warehouse yet. Meanwhile, my copy was already in my possession hah. It's crazy how bad either their communication or their inventory software is.

Yea...do not fall for the flipper prices. None have sold. And the regular black vinyl is nearly half the price. It's still a rip off from VMP unless you can get it for swap or add-on price.
 
Maybe missing the obvious here but can anyone advise me here :
1. Full year membership that doesn’t expire until December.
2. I want the White Stripes and it’s my current
Track.
3. I understand it will now become my July record of the month.

My question is.....as it stands what will I receive in June if I do nothing. I see talk of swaps and stuff but that also implies I don’t want the White Stripes. Same with credit.
So if I do nothing will I get nothing in June and White Stripes in July?

confused. Please help.

You will get the White Stripes. It is still your June ROTM, it just will not ship until July. July 1st, you will receive the July ROTM and White Stripes will be shipped in that box too. If you want White Stripes, just make sure you're signed up for the Essentials track and don't do anything else.

I will try also! It's a great album but I don't need a special color for the extra $16.
