I grabbed the Fat Beats 100 LTD for what I assume will be cheaper but I do like this color better.

I would also add that my copy that I bought two years ago from Tidal Waves is "limited to 500" it's printed right on the Obi. So either they've now pressed 500 more on black vinyl and are lying again about "limited" numbers, or they're counting the one's on sale since 2018 as the limited 500 black. I would hope it's the latter.

Great write up/thanks for your opinion. for $400 (what I paid) I am aware that I could have gone your route but I am in the camp that likes the packaging, the podcasts, etc, and has all the other anthologies. Am I spending more money than I need, absolutely, am I ok with it, absolutely.

And that's definitely great, too. Like I said in my post, that definitely has appeal to some collectors. And with Bellman cutting, you're sure to get good to great sound at minimum.

Since you mentioned it, how have the podcasts been for past anthologies? I kinda wrote them off when considering this set; just not sure what level of Dead talk to expect. The set seems entry level Dead, so I figured it'd be surface level Dead talk.

I've enjoyed them enough that they've added to the experience.

Eh. Tidal Waves is a legit label and not shady from a bunch of my purchases from them. I think LITA copied and pasted the write up from the 2018 reissue of Ceasar since it's the same series. Tidal Waves pressed that one too and it was the first reissue since the 70s. I wouldn't put too much stock into that. They also answered pretty immediately to clarify.

I don't think anyone could really put this on LITA, since they are just following what Tidal Waves wrote. However, it does still say that on the Tidal Waves IG post. They should definitely remove that, because it's deceptive at this point, if they leave it up.
 
If we are going to get store exclusives for any of the June ROTM’s, then I really hope we get Albert King or The White Stripes exclsuives! I would be devastated if we got a Future store exclusive instead of an Albert King or The White Stripes exclusive!

Really hoping we get The White Stripes’ White Blood Cells or Elephant (or both of them) as store exclusives to accompany the De Stijl Essentials ROTM! 🤞🤞🤞

I think they will put out an Elephant reissue since it’s already getting a wide reissue this month.
