every time there's a new Tetris theme event, i end up in fourth or fifth place the first four times (reaching about 90 points) and then my fifth time i reach first place (which is an automatic 100 points). it's like im destined to only get 1st when i no longer need to

I thought the latest update helped it?
there was an update that fixed it with the Pro Controller but that was a software issue. the issue with the Joy Cons is purely a hardware issue. I'm on my second set of Joy Cons since my initial pair caught the drift and starting a few weeks ago the second pair is starting to drift as well...I have a third set still in the box for when I can't take it anymore as it's currently not too bad, but it's annoying as hell that it keeps happening.

That worries me because we only have the limited edition controllers with our AC Switch
idk if im 100% correct on this, but if i recall, the newer switch models also have newer joy-cons that are a bit more sturdy, albeit still likely to get the drift problem. but yea, im on the same boat as you, if i get the drift on my own joy cons, ima be very bummed

I sent everyone on the page 1 list a friend invite (except @McGlam...your code is missing a number) and today I’m opening the gates on my shitty 2 star island if you want the come sell some stuff.
I’ve got some family over so I won’t be playing but make yourself at home.
I have Cherries as my native fruit FYI. I’ve got an Orchid set up as you enter the island so if you need to some Cherries to take home and plant, please help yourself.
Any donations or random junk you don’t need are welcome.

This isn't the best picture but my wife and I cleared out the entire area beneath our museum yesterday and we made this little pond/pool area with DJ turntable for poolside entertainment. With the exception of floor lights, we're trying to think of other things we could put in this area. Any ideas?

I'm assuming Firewood is the Camp Fire but if not I could use that too.
I don't really have much in the way of trade of DIY's except for a Honeycomb Wall
I'm working from right now so can't really play but I've opened my gates if you want to stop by.
My native fruit is Cherries if you've got others to offload for higher bells and if you have a bunch of Bugs to sell, Flick is walking around my island.
