Starting with what is easily my favorite part of my collection!

This is one of my favorite albums from one of my favorite groups(yeah yeah, I know you've heard it before). I will never stop recommending these guys to any real music fan. The evolution and finding that signature style they do so well and so uniquely too. I always compare them to Radiohead, both started in '89 and both groups have seen a similar style of wanting to break free from molds and chains people put them into.

Right now I have two pressings of this, one on black and the other is clear with black smoke. There's also a white pressing I'm missing but haven't seen pop up in a few...

This album was recorded in front of a live audience in four cities around the world(Madrid, Buenos Aires,México City and Los Angeles) and has a great documentary on the making of it.

Café Tacvba "Jei Beibi!" [248/357]

Cafeta's newest and one of their most accesible yet. Its full of great songs with the characteristic sound and lyrics that made them what they are, but still reaching out to new styles without losing sight of where they come from.

I think this album really captures a uniquely "Mexican rock sound" if you want to call it that, where they managed to bridge those old style feel of Boleros and Danzones with that great Rock and Roll. Creating at times, something so unique and distinctive that, I personally, haven't seen anywhere else.

This last song, since the first time I heard it, always makes me cry and I can't understand it lol.
