Apocalyptica - Worlds Collide (2007, reissue 2019)

Still so happy this package got released. Two albums for the price of one! First ever vinyl press of Worlds Collide, and first reissue of 7th Symphony!

The cello metal quartet is fantastic as ever on this record. Featuring some fantastic guests, including Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Christina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil) and Adam Gontier (ex-Three Days Grace) 🤘

It's one of my favorites of 2020 so far. It has been stimulating in quiet surroundings and, depending on my mood, profoundly moving. I view it more as an ambient record than anything else, but I suppose jazz fits the genre description.
I am looking to get a copy as well...but looking to avoid dropping $31 shipped for an limited colored LP on Bandcamp. Still hunting down a good deal.
Well said. I agree completely. I Love this album, it’s like world music influenced Lo-fi Jazz. I guess it’s a compilation from some previous releases. I have listened to some of his spoken word stuff which doesn’t do much for me, I am glad they compiled all the instrumentals on to a single LP, it all flows together really well.

Yeah, this sounds great, I actually had a Japanese pressing of this , but this is so much more alive and present, very happy. That said I wouldn’t pay $50 for a S/H record without listening first . This cost me AU$30 .
Are these actuel releases pretty good? My local has a few of the OG copies but they want like $50 a piece for them. I have seen some reissues too that are a quit a bit less.

Love this album, it’s solid front to back in addition to the killer singles released. I just wish I could find a non-Plain version of their sophomore album!

There was a clear vinyl reissue on universal recently..only about £20 online ..try townsend stores

That's awesome those came with the autographed book. The black one I have didn't, but now these go for much more than $150, so Im glad we were both able to pick one up at the time

I hadn't looked at what they were going for in years, and wow, I didn't realize it had gotten so high haha I'm glad we both were able to grab one too. Love this album!

Beth Orton - Best Bit EP
Ranil y su Conjunto Tropical

I'm burning through my spins due to semi-lockdown so thought I'd move to occasional double posts to avoid too many posts. The Beth Orton is one of my favourite ever EPs with two beautiful duets with Terry Callier. And the Ranil is more great music from Analog Africa, this time psychedelic cumboa from the Peruvian jungle.
