NO I DO NOT. I simply get a nice sharp pair of scissors and slice my feet off at the ankles and affix the shoes to the wall of the closet LIKE ANY NORMAL HUMAN BEING WOULD D-
i don't think this analogy is working as intended

It also provides easier access to the discs. You don’t have to pull everything out of the outer sleeve to get to the record. The downside is it takes up a bit more space as the empty space inside the jacket isn’t being utilized.

I've heard the ring-wear thing before, no idea how true it is.

I do it for some of my records, but most because a) they're a pain in the ass to get out otherwise or b) there are already seam splits and I don't want to make them any worse.

Soul Limbo had reissues past 1975 (was reissued in the US in 78) which Storf said this one hasn't been reissued since then. Other albums that loosely fit:

Booker T - Doin' Our Thing - 1968, reissue in 1970
Otis Redding - The Immortal Otis Redding - 1968, repressed in 1975
Albert King - King Does The King's Things - 1969, reissued in 1970
Soul Children - self-titled - 1969 but no US reissue since that year despite multiple pressings in 1969
Eddie Floyd - You've Got To Have Eddie - 1969, no reissue past 1969
Booker T - Uptight soundtrack - 1969, no reissue after 1969 in the US
Carla Thomas - Memphis Queen - 1969, repress in 1975 but also had one in 87 in the US
Mar-Keys - Damifiknow! - 1969, reissue in 1971
Johnnie Taylor - The Johnnie Taylor Philosophy Continues - 1969, not re-released after that on LP but was repressed in 1969
Jimmy Hughes - Something Special - 1969, no reissue on LP past 1969 (was reissued in 1969)


Guessing as @keylime_5 said, it's likely Otis - The Immortal Otis Redding, which is a shame because I already have an OG press of it...but would maybe double dip if I don't like the other ROTMs. It is a great album though!

Before Storf went into his self-imposed exile, didn't he suggest April could be one of their biggest months for Classics? If so, then I think Otis is really the only one to fit the bill.

Yea I think Otis is most likely at this point...I went through discogs for most of the releases in 1968/69. Outside of compilation albums, there are very few that haven't been reissued recently in the US. I happened to find a copy of the OG press for $5 about a year ago in shrink and it's not a particularly hard album to find used but would be great with the VMP Classics treatment.

Yeah, and it's been pretty thoroughly established with releases like Mr. Hands and Go For your Guns that "scarcity" is NOT one of the criteria VMP looks for when choosing Classics.

I would be more than happy for it to be Otis.

Yea--I wouldn't be mad at this choice at all. It's such a good album. It's nowhere near as easy to find as Mr.Hands or Patrice Rushen and is just a way better album. I might pick this up anyway even with an OG press.
