Very true.
I omitted Lorde from my top 3. Because that was the era of Lorde that I didn't like. I loved Melodrama. And I went back and revisited Pure Heroine because of it. I liked Pure Heroine a ton better after having heard Melodrama. Weird, I know. But that's what prompted me to not vote for Royals in this.

I am really enjoying it too. I've been a very passive and casual fan of hers. I liked songs on the radio and then later learned they were hers. But Lose You To Love Me blew me away so much that it prompted me to dive into her discography. Really great album.

I also had to let Carly Rae Jepsen go! For me, those other three songs are better than Run Away With Me!
The Carly Rae Jepsen tracks E•MO•TION, Boy Problems and All That (which are all on the same album) on the other hand though.......
For me, the tiny, slight letdown in Run Away With Me is the bombastic chorus! It just feels a tiny bit overproduced with the extra gimmicky vocals and roaring saxophone and as a result, takes away from warm, pulsating, fairytale, lustful aesthetic that was built from the verse. The saxophone at the start of the track is beautiful however.
Robyn’s Dancing On My Own has similar qualities in terms of a buildup to a chorus, but finds more power in the heartfelt, yearning, vocals sung, and the chorus doesn’t feel overproduced like Run Away With Me. The super fast tickering Cricket noises and fuzzy bass doesn’t overpower the overall sound in Dancing On My Own. And the vocals really breathe and shine!
Again, @Teeeee - I really like the song Run Away With Me, but for me, it’s definitely the weakest out of these four - both musically and for it’s impact/significance.

I tried, I swear I tried, but I just can't enjoy any of her songs. She sounds like the blonde girl of Ace Of Base who hated being famous but she's forced to keep on doing music by her record company so she makes these stuff instead of eating blood sausages in a cabin in the middle of Arjeplog.
Or someone like that.
