Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Well that's what I like to hear..... I'm waiting around for a shit copy that was paid for a couple months ago. Keep up the solid work VMP!

What I will say is that there isn’t an issue with the master or the wider pressing so the hopes are that there are some of the VMP presses that are ok and 🤞 one of them is on its way to you. Sadly for @Mather they’ve shafted him again...

Storf got all bent out of shape that I said I wouldn't want to be him, working for a failing company, and took it to mean that I want him to lose his job (I don't).

You should go do the math on things like 30k+ paying subs and the amount they asked for on their Kickfurther account. At work and cant re do it right now but they only have to have 6500 people take the ROTM to pay back the kickfurther with interest.

You know it costs them 13-14 $ a record to make.

They arent failing yet.

Mine sounds..."fine" but overall I think the remastering is sub par. Not a VMP issue though.
I totally agree, the mastering on some tracks sounds like I'm listening though a mattress. But other tracks are "fine". It's very strange. Gimme Shelter sounds terrible in my opinion. I'll just listen to my Mary Clayton version.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but my Yusef Lateef sounds really good... 🤷‍♂️

Some people had issues, myself included. My first replacement was just fine, but poor @Mather I think gave up after the third replacement.

In store exclusive news, we're getting three drops today:

David Gray - White Ladder
Townes Van Zandt - Our Mother the Mountain
Townes Van Zandt - s/t

Not gonna lie, those TVZs look gorgeous. But uh, I'd like to at least start seeing my November records ship before I throw any more money their way. Got a feeling they'll last at least a little while.

So at what point do they scrap the new system, go back to the old one and do some actual testing and QA on the new system before handling a rollout during a down time? Or knowing VMP, did they completely trash the old system already rather than maintaining data integrity for a standard period of time after a new system rollout? I think I already know the answer to my question. Nevermind...

Was it @Mather that joked that the VMP variant of White Ladder would be on david GRAY vinyl?

How is it possible that I can get a the President of VMP to respond to me on LinkedIn within 5 minutes, but CS is keeping me waiting weeks at a time. That is literally your job. To service customers... Well, he said he was sending my issues directly to the CS team after getting additional info from me, i.e. doing what CS should be doing. Let's see if it fixes anything... Not holding my breath.

Same here. I just asked him what the plan was for getting CS out of the hole they are in. He responded asking what order he could look into for me. If only it were that simple, ha!

So not for nothing, but I reached back out on LinkedIn to say thanks anyway since I hadnt heard anything and he said CS told him they reached out to me. Yeah nope. Comedy of errors. 27th time is the charm, right?
