Vinyl Me Please Rap & Hip Hop

I'm going to assume that's to throw people off the scent given there was just a big 30th anniversary repress of Licensed to Ill. I mean most of the Beastie catalog was released with color variants. Licensed to Ill was not though.

The only LL Cool J album that's important would be Radio and that's a stretch.

I was more refering to the song Dumb Girl being not their finest moment as I think Raising Hell truly fits the clue about being one of if not THE most important rap albums of all time!
Apologies I took it up wrong & half wondered why you didnt see raising hell as a good album but respected your opinion lol

No worries! I reread it thinking, did I just shit on one of my all-time favorite albums? The first cassette I bought with my own money and the reason I started listening to rap music in the first place? Turns out it kind of looks like I did! LoL

Wow yeah that's definitely not a good look lol

So I guess PE is out. Damn.

Y'all already know Essentials.
Released 18 years apart, both the Classics and the RHH album have songs about Girls.

Beastie Boys - Licensed to Ill ("Girls", 1986)

BB King - Lucille ("Country Girl", 1968)

I'm thinking Run DMC's Raising Hell is still in contention "Dumb Girl" and it would still be the 1968/1986 years, which do sound right here.

FWIW, I think it's easier to argue Run DMC as being the most important ever than with the Beastie Boys.
I'd rather a copy of raising hell on green/purple neon maybe 🤔
