I've seen a handful of them, but they're promoting that "Cinematography by Kazuo Miyagawa" and I'm really hoping to check out more of them this week.

Not exactly the same, but I was recommended Tokyo Drifter last year and really got into a lot of movies in that new wave period. A lot of them I saw through criterion. Killers on Parade was my favorite, it's so goofy and fun.

Strangely enough, Mulholland Drive is the only Criterion I have. Got it some time back when Barnes & Noble was doing a sale.

It was one of the movies I watched as a youth during my "everything I consume must have an artistic angle" phase. And I mean that in the best way possible because it showed me that not everything had to be either a slapstick comedy or a blockbuster. It could be ambiguous, frustrating and thought-provoking.

I've seen Eraserhead, Fire Walk With Me, Elephant Man, Mulholland Drive and Blue Velvet. I'm going to make my way through it all.

I read somewhere MD was supposed to be a sort of spin off for Audrey, which makes so much sense.

From the ones you haven’t seen Wild at Heart is my favorite. I’d youre a Nic Cage guy you’ll love it. It also has tons of Twin Peaks actors.

Lost Highway is also great but kind of feels like a dry run for MD

I grabbed the box set too. during the 50% off sale. I still haven’t started yet because of how daunting it is.

I love how they formatted it like a film festival though.
 
I was really happy to get the Criterion TRUE STORIES for christmas. It's one of my favorite films. I've still yet to watch all of the special features, but I believe that there is a pair of documentaries on it
