What's Spinning

I've had a bit of a nightmare when it comes to the Ornette Coleman - The Atlantic Years box set but after chatting to a few of you guys here I have managed to cobble together a complete box set with all flat records (with a bump to the corner of just 1 jacket). Its a shame the Amazon just care so little about the products they are selling but luckily other suppliers do! So here we go:

Ornette Coleman - Change Of The Century (Atlantic Years Box Set, 2018 pressing)

Sounds superb, fantastic audio quality with some killer music. Very happy with it.

No idea why I started to listen to this knowing I'm not going to finish it! Needed sort of music "comfort food" to get through this day so might as well break out one of my all time favorite groups anthology!

Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers - Africaine (Blue Note Review Vol.2 Box Set)

Superb line-up with Art Blakey on drums, Lee morgan on trumpet, Walter Davis, Jr. on piano, Jymie Merritt on bass and perhaps most interestingly is Wayne Shorter on sax - his first recording as a member of the Jazz Messengers!
