Released on this day 38 years ago 1986 ... the fourth studio album 'Victorialand' (& a favourite) by Scotland's enigmatic & ethereal postpunk-ers, Cocteau Twins. Again filled with indecipherable lyrics & virtually devoid of percussion, this was a stunning melancholic departure from previous albums & seemingly sounding like a precursor to their 'The Moon and the Melodies' album collaboration with the great & late Harold Budd released 7 months later in the same year (Nov 86)
