This is one the great orchestras that brings in the 50's the rhythms of puertorican music styles of Bomba y Plena to the musical cookbook that becomes salsa music years later. Includes the voice of Ismael Rivera "El Sonero Mayor" - the biggest sonero - probably the best sonero singer with Benny More from Cuba. Many of the musicians years later will form El Gran Combo of Puerto Rico an iconic orchestra with a trajectory of over 60 years.
Also, Roberto Roena is a member of the orchestra, years later he will be part of Fania All-Stars and founder and leader of the Roberto Roena y su Apollo Sound another of the great salsa groups of all time.

Weekend spin so far…..
Some solid recent new and reissued vinyl.
My original copy. Got in a used collection around mid 80s or so. Cover was missing. Played many times. Still sounds great. You just can’t help but feel good while spinning this one. Thx Jimmy Buffett.
