What's Spinning

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
MoFi 2x45 RPM 180g reissue

I’ve been playing this as I’ve been adjusting my tables new feet and dialing in (at least initially) my Hana SL cart and the phono setting. It’s an absolutely brilliant album that I’ve listened to and enjoyed so many times it’s a great touchstone on how things are sounding.

Such a solid album. It doesn’t ever get “old” for me.

Not spinning but streaming.

Death - ...For the Whole World to See!

This fantastic proto-punk band from Detroit that experienced a resurgence in 2017, 40 years since they released their first 7". I recently listened to an interview with them on 'The Vinyl Guide' podcast and their story is great, they saw themselves as a rock group but radio stations and dj's refused to play them because their name made them seem a lot heavier than they actually are, their music is actually pretty soulful at times.

Anyway, check them out - I recommend the track 'Ceasefire'
