Did you have the Blue Note 80 of this, and if so, is this version a vast improvement? I've been hot and cold on the Blue Note 80s and Classics, but I thought they got this one right. I'd held off on the VMP box because I have nice versions of almost all the albums included, but your enthusiasm for this set has made me curious....

I didn't have the BN80 to compare to, unfortunately.

It really is a well-made set and the sound quality is better than I expected to be honest. There are a few small issues that I imagine they will fix (a warp on one record for example) and it's worth noting that this is my first Anthology from VMP as well.

The general comments on the Anthology thread seem to share my views about the quality. I'm 5 records in so far and have to say that I am really impressed. Initially, I was on the fence about whether I should have bought it, but I'm glad I did now.

Herbie Hancock - The Piano (Blue Note, 2021 Vinyl Me Please Anthology Pressing)

Definitely, the most beautiful sounding album that I have bought in a long time. Really stunning, especially considering its just Herbie and his piano.
