What's Spinning

#1429-1430

Charles Mingus - Mingus At Antibes
Cracker - Low

Maybe my favourite Mingus - utterly sublime. And a nostalgic 10" - the first concert I ever saw was the Counting Crows, and they were supported by Cracker, whose big song was Low (still a good listen). I wonder if this was the first colour vinyl I had.

Giving it a first spin @Mr Moustache - while not an audiophile album it does sound pretty great to my ears - no pops or clicks, flat vinyl, and Alison’s voice sounds amazing, especially on my favorite tracks A&E and Happiness.

It’s also a nice overall package with a nice gatefold sleeve and yellow vinyl. Highly recommended!!

The album so nice, I bought it thrice! Got my Classic Series version in, so what better excuse to spin this record multiple times than comparing sound? I'm sure the conclusion is all three sound amazing.

This is the OG mono.

Oh, I’ll have to spin my 1977 pressing and the Classics release back to back when I get mine Tuesday
