The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour

I think it was @Lee Newman who was playing this one earlier? It’s been on my long list for the day ever since! I love this one, the only US album that is now considered to be a part of the main catalogue, it’s seriously underrated, well by The Beatles’ standards anyway. I know that it is only a soundtrack ep to a tv special on side A and a bunch on non album singles on side B but there is absolutely no fat on this at all, all killer and no filler.

Sonny Rollins - On Impulse! (Impulse!, 1965 First Stereo Pressing)

Continuing my Impulse! day with Sonny Rollins. In his biography (which he provided interviews for) Rollins stated he always hated recording albums and preferred to play live where he would play his best. Would of been amazing to see him perform, especially if you consider he wasnt playing at full level here because its brilliant!
