I also came here to post this too LMAO. Pot, kettle.View attachment 233533
Just came in to post this. Haven't been a member since 2020 I think, thought the subject line was pretty funny considering the circumstances.
What are you looking to use it for? There are some nice, but limited stats gathering on your FreshCogs profile. Things like spins by day, most spun artist, most spun record. I like the random record generator that picks 9 to choose from. My 3 year old requests to "pick from the 9" a lot.
I have no idea what purpose it would serve then.
Yeah that's easily my most used feature. I wish you could toggle to exclude 7" though, because when my son does it he picks by cool covers and when he chooses a 7" I have to tell him no, which is a bummer.I have no idea. Just learning about it. The random generator sounds cool
Or… you could just play it.Yeah that's easily my most used feature. I wish you could toggle to exclude 7" though, because when my son does it he picks by cool covers and when he chooses a 7" I have to tell him no, which is a bummer.
Eh, switching the TT over to 45 is a chore!Or… you could just play it.![]()
I'm a bit baffled by the game plan here.

Closing that forum removed evidence of winners winning. And that was the greatest crime.
No idea if this is how these things work but it makes me think maybe VMP customer data has been sold and they need to get a fresh opt-in for whomever is buying it from the trust controlled by the liquidation company. Or maybe they want to clean out email subscribers with low engagement in preparation for a sale. I got the same notice at an alternate email that I had registered at some point to enter a contest that VMP was sponsoring. I did not get the notice at the email that was associated with my account when I was a member.Anybody else just get an email from VMP with "Is this the end?" as the subject line?
It was asking me to confirm my email communication preferences.

I get what he is saying, it’s like if I am gonna go through the effort of opening up and playing on album in a box set I might as well listen to the rest while they are out…I, uh, don't think I have ever felt the need to listen to an entire box set as a single unit.
But VMP didn’t own the plant. they had no equity in it apparently. So how did David and Gary walk away with it? Someone guessed that maybe the board of the new plant forced cam and those guys out and bought their stake in it.My guess is because of the age of the plant it is still financially extremely upside down financially with loans, and unlike VMP back stock records it would be much harder to flip those machines without massive losses.
The only way to make a penny off that business will be to run it for at least 5 years. PE and bankruptcy buyers don’t like to run businesses. They do like restructuring debt and offloading elsewhere. Possibly to the former owners in the form of a pressing plant
As with most VMP stuff these days, It’s just automated. I got these on an old account months ago.I also got the "Is this the end?" email lol.
Considering I haven't been a member in years, I'm a bit baffled by the game plan here. Are they actively trying to lure old subscribers back in hoping they either don't know or won't realize VMP is a sinking ship before it's too late?
Guess I'm not the only one that got the "this is the end?" email. Pretty awesome and direct marketing idea honestly.
