Hello!
I've done a google search regarding the topic and found a few different message threads about how some people solved their issues but I can't seem bring mine back to life.
When Powered on the Start/Stop light blinks continuously and the speed button works. Nothing on Cueing. The tonearm is pressed firmly at the rest position and won't move on it's own with the start button. I can manually move the arm with a little force but it goes straight back to rest position.
I tried moving around the worm/motor gear so that it reaches the "start" position (i've included a picture) but when I reassemble it and hit start it just locks up again.
I'm concerned that maybe the record sensor (plastic piece shown) is broken somewhere? Maybe a piece of the plastic broke off? I'm really not sure.
The boards look good and not burnt. any questionable ones I unsoldered and resoldered for good measure.
I've downloaded the service manual and it helps to an extent but then I kind of get lost. I understand it to an extent.
Any ideas?
