NHL Thread Because There Isn't An NHL Thread

Actually there isn’t a bigger chance of that happening as the Penguins have only had the same coach twice in their entire history.
Eddie Johnston and Craig Patrick. And Patrick was interim both times, so maybe 1.5 times.

Habs will not hire an american that doesn't speak French as head coach, so no the odds are bigger he goes back to Pittsburgh, sorry.

A guy like Jim Montgomery would be the type of coach that's a possibility in the future since he grew up in Montreal, speaks French and knows Kent Hughes. But he's not going to be available for a while. And everyone is happy with Marty for now. What he's done with the team this year is well beyond expectations, so there's zero chance the Habs would want him gone before next season.

Rumors have both Sullivan *and* Tortorella (not in a head coaching role) going to NYR. Happy ending for everybody! Well except NYR fans, maybe, but who cares about those guys. :D

That may actually cause me to renounce my NYR fandom.
Bad enough that they just extended Drury's contract.
I will not be able to handle both of them back in NY in any capacity lol.

Haha oh yea, I've been a die hard fan as long as I can remember; unfortunately most of the fanbase is pretty insufferable.
At least I will always have the '94 cup when I was, *checks notes,* 1 year old :(

Back when I used to live in Montreal and went many games (I had season tickets for a couple years), I did speak to Rangers fans on occasion, and I have to say those few examples were knowledgeable and polite. More than I can say about any Bruins, Flyers and Black Hawks fans in particular.
