Alex Ovechkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Ilya Samsonov, and Dmitry Orlov are in quarantine and will miss at least the next four games, Washington Capitals head coach Peter Laviolette announced Thursday.
All four players were on the league's COVID list on Wednesday after they violated protocols, which cost the team a $100,000 fine.

Wow, can't believe they'll miss 4 games. That's crazy. 4 teammates were in a hotel room together and didn't have masks on (even though they do that on ice and on the bench for a few hours during game) so they must quarantine now. But I guess they knew the rules so it's tough to argue. As a Caps fan it definitely sucks, but it looks like we're going to bring up Connor McMichael who just played really well for Canada at World Juniors so I'm excited to see what he can do. This team needs some youthful energy and another true center.

PLD has only skated 4 mins for us..none the last period. He has shown lil to no effort these first couple games...expect him to be gone soon
