Needles & Grooves AoTM /// Vol. 9 - March 2020 /// X-Ray Spex - Germfree Adolescents

I forgot to mention Jennifer Herrema (of Royal Trux) was also a TV and print model for Calvin Klein (CK One) in the 90s.
Co-leader Neil Hagerty has control issues and they were a big influence on The White Stripes according to this article:

They also have this very gross toilet album cover (look at your own peril):

oh man, we just needed a reference to Sonic Youth now..... (cinderella's big score, from Goo)

the reference to "dollar" sent me straight back to Neneh Cherry.
In the video for Buffalo Stance she has a dollar sign necklace.
so, maybe raw like sushi?

(ok, Ok, this guess fails on multiple levels already - not a band, not a male drummer, etc... etc...)

sonic youth has had a bevy of drummers, i think the correct course of research is which ones have played for who else.
well, apart from the early beginnings, only 1 drummer payed in Sonic Youth from 1985.
Steve Shelley on the other hand, payed/recorded for a gigantic number of different artists.

browsing through the list, the one that caught my eye was Sun Kil Moon.
Unfortunately I have no idea if any of the clues could even fit.
