The image on the left appears to be Federico García Lorca, whose poetry was used as the lyrics for many of the songs on the Camarón de la Isla record.

i do not think so
hard to explain, there are different moods that different songs induce

yes ( Clue #9 is a label hint)
as i mentioned somewhere above, the album is sung in only one language, but the artist has recorded in at least one other of the mentioned languages before
Not that Tricky. It has only been released once so far and that was on this German label
Edit: discogs knows online 3 variants. 1 vinyl and 2 cd versions all on the Same german label. ( which will Not surprise you once you know the album)

I thought this clue would really narrow things down, but my head hurts.
This is the closest thing I've found so far:
I kinda like it and they only have 3 discogs variants: 1 double-LP and 2 cds. But it's mostly instrumental with just two tracks featuring Herman Hesse reading one of his poems in German. and I just released that one of those cd releases is unofficial....
