This year I’ve been having a lot of issues with unlocking our parcel box because of the record mailers basically blocking the lock from opening all the way. A few weeks ago I had to use pliers to unlock it. This morning I tried the same method but came close to breaking the key off. A couple of years ago I did exactly that, on purpose and it took months for them to replace the lock. My wife had emailed them once before and things were ok temporarily and she just sent them another one.
Our house is literally right next to the the mailbox so it’s not out of their way to drop them off at the front door. Sans us moving to an area that doesn’t have a community mailbox, does anyone have any suggestions? Are there others out there who have the same issue? Normally I just leave a note with the key saying I couldn’t open the box.
