It's weird they focused solely on Hitler when dude also put out 3 versions of an album named after a guy who killed his wife and kids too. But I guess we need to focus on the Hitler bit cause Vlad is Jewish.

well, to be fair 1 out of 3 versions of Supreme Blientele was named Chris Benoit, though two of the covers featured his image. but Gunn's is up to #6 in the HWH series and Hitler was a much bigger villain than Benoit, so I understand why that would get more critical focus and attention.

I think it can also be argued that Benoit is much more relevant to current consumers than Hitler is. Especially his fans who tend to skew towards fans of wrestling as well. Also, afaik, none of the HWH series made best of album lists did they? The one featuring Chris Benoit was ALL OVER top album lists.. so take that fwiw.

Well you know how that goes, especially when you run into industry Execs who happen to be Jewish. Which is what Conway was talking about.

I hear you. I think the description that Conway gives regarding the Hitler series of mixing the awful and grimey with high art relates completely to the Chris Benoit name and imagery and well. I also think that Hitler is still more of a relevant villain than Benoit is despite being decades older simply because of the extreme nature of what he did. wrestling is huge but is still pretty niche compared to Hitler who is one of the universally most hated men of all time, if not the most. also, "Chris Benoit" was an alternate title and image, I am pretty sure that most, if not all, that had it on their best of list had it as "Supreme Blientele" with the Fendi stocking cover and not the 3 eyed Benoit name and cover.

Yeah Hitler is a Historical figure for better or worse whose actions have gone down in history as one of the most heinous and horrific. Benoit no doubt committed a horrific crime as well but I think in a way what he did was a bit more forgivable because the reason Benoit went crazy was because of the repeated blows to the head he took while wrestling.
