Help With Email Preferences

About two weeks ago I started receiving emails about new posts for every thread I’ve ever looked at. Checked in preferences and all email boxes are unchecked so it seems I shouldn’t be getting any at all but I am. What am I missing?

My memory is fuzzy but I’m thinking that you go into a specific thread and turn it on/off again. I haven’t had this problem in a long time. I think it automatically subscribes you to threads you create.

The boxes are unchecked to auto subscribe /w email on all new threads. But you are still subscribed to the threads you were already subscribed too.

At the top right of the thread you should see something that looks like this:



Click "Unwatch".

If you want notifications from the thread and no emails, click the watch button and select "without receiving email notifications".



What happened was you preferences at one point in time were set to watch and receive emails for any thread you participated in. So when you started a thread or replied to one while those preferences were set it auto watched with receive email notifications.

Unfortunately, you will need to unwatch each thread manually =\
