Well they have missed their own stated shipping date for the Lush records. I don't mind that there are delays with Luna as they are exclusive to BandBox, but when you are just doing a variant of a record that came out a month ago I am much less forgiving for delays.

yeah, where the heck are they? also, i'm pretty new to buying from these guys, but they do seem rather slow to ship things. is that normal?

They are a really small company who never seems to get priority at pressing plants because of how few records they press. They have one CS person who is delightful but can take some time to get a response.

I’ve ordered from them for close to 2 years now. Nothing has ever been released when they initially said it would but for the price I’ve paid for everything, I’m totally fine with it. I’d be a bit annoyed if I paid full price with delays and slower shipping.

Can’t really think of the last time I ordered something in stock from them though. And their pressings are more hit than miss for me. Them pressing in small batches can sometimes help the quality I think. I thought the Yo La Tengo RTI pressing was awesome. Other records are just generic GZ cuts.

I have the same perspective and experience with them. Early on I got a couple that were not great, but the quality improved significantly over the last couple years and I can't think of the last one that sounded bad. They are slow but Pam is one of the best CS folks I've ever dealt with hands down.

If I recall they are in the process of getting their own press. I'm not sure if that's still happening, but that was the plan.

Yea—they told me they bought their own pressing machine but unsure of the status of that

When I ordered the magnolia records variant of home video by Lucy Dacus I had to wait about two months after the other variants were available to receive it. I was disappointed about having to wait 2 months for it to arrive but it was worth it as it is very pretty.

Looks like they are only going to be available for preorder for 13 days.
These are exciting to me. I sent an email and asked to cancel some other preorders so I can get these instead.
