I got stuck at the office much later than expected today, but got in there for about an hour. Tomorrow will be the big show!

Insane day! I’ll post some more pictures later today, but here are my initial takeaways:
1- audio can be WILDLY expensive. Most costly system at the show was $2M!
2- Borresen speakers can sound truly phenomenal, but are WAY outside of my price point. I wish I could have heard their “affordable” system.
3- there is still some really impressive gear in the “mid” and “lower” price tiers, but this show didn’t have anything in what I’d consider truly entry level unfortunately. I think the most affordable system was $7-8k
4- the audio world kind of gets more fun as it gets smaller. I wasn’t expecting to know so many people.
5- Reel to reel is very cool.

They were comically large in the room, but extremely detailed without a top end bite. I believe they had a paper driver in the main horn.
I really wish some of these big horn systems could all be allowed to open up and shine in that large ballroom.

I bet you could guess which room was running it.
But honestly, that is truly A+ audiophile vinyl in my opinion. If every VMP release was that quality I wouldn’t have had issue the service.
