there's a number of strong antipodean albums other than those couple mentioned in my top 20 that i recommend / endorse to round out a top ten:
- gang of youths: go farther in lightness (oztraya's best the national tribute band!)
- the tall grass: down the unmarked road (jamie from bluebottle kiss and pete from crow come together to make beautiful muzak!)
- underground lovers: staring at you staring at me (indie veterans still got it going on!)
- nadia reid: presentation (really strong songwriting from kiwi on her second album!)
- aldous harding: party (see one above!)
- all our exes live in texas: when we fall (what a band name! what a great collection of tunes!)
- pond: the weather (more than just tame impala offshoots!)
- liars: tcfc (i don't care if angus has lived in the states for donkey's years, he's oztrayan at heart!)
