Even recently I’ve always been lucky with QRP and RTI. Have had plenty of problems with GZ records for sure. Optimal has always had a good reputation but I haven’t been lucky of late.

Played Claudia Thompson in the background yesterday and on a couple of occasions different people asked ‘Who the hell is that???’. To my taste, this is vastly superior to Blossom Dearie or the Abbey Lincoln Classics pick but to each their own!

Despite some headaches, I’ve enjoyed VMP membership immensely but VAT could well be a killer blow. Maybe they can set up VMP Europe. If not, the market will be wide open for a European competitor.

Grabbed this. First track sounds great. Unreleased Meters-y stuff is very much up my alley.

It feels like VMP Classics subscribers are somewhat averse to 70s disco strings. Which I can understand to be honest.

It’s arguably the best album by one of the great soul voices. What’s not to like!

Same here. I dig it out quite often.

Wasn’t sure about Teddy initially but after a few listens I think RKS is going to do something worth singing about with this release.
