    Give Blood, Play Rugby.

Welford Rd is a long way from Bristol, so I had to satisfy myself with watching the dire game at Ashton Gate where we got pummeled. To make matters worse I seemingly spent half the match on the big screen, wearing my Tigers shirt with a face like a spanked arse, sat between my two girls in...

    Give Blood, Play Rugby.

Yup - Piutau has been crocked for most of the early season, but came good in the end and Luatua has been superb. Bristol came up from the Championship and almost qualified for the Champions Cup in their first season back in the Prem, which is impressive. I wonder who'd win between your dogcrap...

    Give Blood, Play Rugby.

Played for ~25yrs, through school and until we had or first kid (at the time I was playing 1 off the National leagues, and to be able to hack it at that level with my level of talent, meant gym 3 times a week, club training twice, and then travelling all over the South West of England to play on...

Just as there doesn't seem to be one yet. Thing to look forward to currently. - Rugby World Cup '19 (AKA, is anyone going to beat the All Blacks) - Next Premiership season (and here's to hoping Leicester Tigers actually show up this time) - The next Joe Marler Interview/Alex Goode 3 day pub...

    Cyclists Unite!

Originally found it when I was looking for a beater frame to turn into a pub bike, so I didn't have to take my best bike into town. It had been sat in a chaps garage for 5 years (as it was missing a rear mech) and he'd bought it with him from his previous place, where he'd lived for 10 years. he...

Blues, Funk and Soul - the holy trinity

and how I didn't recommend The Haggis Horns in a Funk thread - I'm getting forgetful in my old age. These were the guys who did 'live' for Mark Ronson what the Daptones did in the studio https://thehaggishorns.bandcamp.com/album/hot-damn

Blues, Funk and Soul - the holy trinity

Soooo, New funk you say :) How new are we talking? I've been into funk for a long time, and there was a resurgence of stuff from about 10 years back, lots of it coming out of melbourne, but also quite a bit from the UK and Japan. If you want more modern recommendations, I'm happy to push some...

The N&G Listening Club V1 - Archive only

Never (knowingly) listened to the Dead in any way, shape or form, but thought I'd enter into the spirit of things and give this a go. Listening to the Spotify version. As many have already said, it's far jazzier than I expected, though still with some serious psych tinges. South Side strut...
