Thanks! Im still waiting for a reply from the storeowner - and they should be shameful when i tell them that Sundazed sent a brand new copy from the States to Norway, free of charge. And no need for the defect in return.

I actually contacted Sundazed directly, and they will replace my record at no cost. Sent them a videofile. Shame that the store i bought it at wants to argue instead.

Before i even play a record i check it first by spinning in on the turntable. No chance that ill put my cartridge on that crap. So this is one of 5 records that i complained about. I will get to upload some videos soon so you can see the rest. :)

Yep. Seems like the storeowner and those who work there are under the impression that a turntable cartridge / stylus is a magical device that can handle anything, and that dents and warps are just part of the game. They have no technical insight whatsoever.

I think the main issue is that when there are little to no returns of records with defects, it sends a message to the factories and suppliers that its ok that records are shipped out with warps, offcenter and non-fill.

Local shop in Oslo. I see myself as very tolerant when it comes to the "bad" side of vinyl record manufacturing. I can tolerate minor warpage, off-center. But edgewarps that clearly makes the arm move i am not comfortable with. Nor major off center and non-fill. I have returned records severly...

Nah. Just more intrigued by why its doing what its doing. But then ill just give the belt an extra push so it settles. Its is after all a manual turntable :)

Just had the belt replaced as the old one was worn out. Nop, will an app work or is that not accurate enough?
