I can, but my pre-amp cannot support a LOMC. I could go for the Hanna SH though...

True. For that price, I could also try Ortofon Bronze or AT VM750SH, both of which I hear are good with the StudioMaster table.

Has anyone gotten their MasterTracker stylus replaced? I heard that MoFi will do this service, but would like to know what the crew here thinks. I have put quite a few hours on this stylus in the past 2.5 years.

Do you all remove the VF from the pouch when it's done cooking, or let it cool down inside the pouch?

Interesting. I'll run some setting tests to make sure I'm better acquainted with them. We shoot for under 130?

This is exactly why I came back to this thread. I have my VF but haven't used it in a year. Just got a Humminguru and wanted to smooth out some of my newly squeaky clean records. IIRC, I found that the cooling time is equally as important. Some of this is coming back to me now: Generally...

New ultrasonic vinyl cleaner in the works: Humminguru

To wipe the final drops of water off and I also pre-clean with Groovewasher G2 for old / used records and they function well as a work surface.

I still use my Spin-Clean drying cloths, but they are getting ragged. They sell new cloths for $4 each (5 for $20), but I'm wondering if anyone has a suitable, cheaper replacement available on Amazon?

New ultrasonic vinyl cleaner in the works: Humminguru

As I'm cleaning more regularly, I am generally just not being stingy with the cleaning fluid. I'm using G-Sonic cleaner and it's 10 drops per gallon, which is cheap as chips. I ran a deep clean on an original pressing of Damn The Torpedoes the other day and the water was pretty gross afterwards...

Fair enough. I'm deep cleaning and drying new records, so 12 or so sounds reasonable. I'm used to letting a batch of records build up before a cleaning session, so this works.

I'm using distilled water with a drop of GSonic per tank. How many record do you all clean before you change the water?

I ordered mine last week and it will be here tomorrow. Really surprised at how fast that shipping is!

OK, I'm prepared to grab one of these. Are there ever any discount codes available?

Thanks for the tips on good, affordable DACs. The Topping DX3 Pro+ is fantastic and I have it running Volumio on Raspberry Pi over USB. I'm using a very cheap / basic USB A - B cable, which has been fine. Does anyone see benefit from going with one of the nicer cables with shielding, etc.?

Yes, but I meant "rising off surfactant".

Interesting, I've always been curious about rinsing surfactant. I feel it's just generally a good practice but don't know if it's needed or not.

OK, so I’m seriously considering getting one. I currently use Tergikleen with my Spin-Clean, then rinse with clean water. I’m seeing on this thread that people use one drop of G-Sonic in the Humminguru. Is there no clean rinse cycle? Could I use my bottle of Tergikleen with it?

You guys are really hyping me on this. I've been interested in upgrading my Spin-Clean since I used a Nessie once. I'm not interested in spending $3,500, but $450 is digestible.

Yes. Sorry, I’m not fully caught up on the thread, but notch 4 is a large amount of anti skate. Make sure your cartridge is sufficiently heavy so that it needs that.

This is the tea I was looking for. I am essentially looking to do the following: Enable bluetooth for my system. Preferrably, up-to-date 5.0/5.1 Bypass my Yamaha Amp's DAC for Hi Res Audio. It's not horrible, but it doesn't shine Invest a commensurate amount to what I want to accomplish. $200...
