You know, I think I'm wrong. I think this is the 3rd gen Node. I just assumed because when I went to buy it, I was searching for the 2i and this is what came up when bluesound's site said they were out of stock.
So, cool, I stumbled into it
I listened to three different albums today with my headphone setup (Bottlehead Crack and Sennheisser HD6XX) and it was such an absolute joy. If I hadn't had family things planned with my partner and kids, I'd just have kept listening all day. I just want to go re-listen to every album I own.
My Darlington Labs MM-6 arrived today. I'm in love!
I wish I could easily do a A/B test to really hear the difference, but it just sounds more detailed than the Schiit Mani. I don't have the words to describe it beyond that.
I see lots of reviews saying that it just gets better after a few...
Oh, they absolutely could go on the floor or be stacked. Good point. I've gotten so stuck in this mode of viewing them that it is just how I think of them, as hanging shelves. Ha
If it is ok to toot my own horn, I make these hanging record crates. If you wanted your records up on the wall like this.
I've been wanting to get them available for sale on my website for a couple years now and just haven't done it, but I think it's time. They are significantly more expensive...
This seems to have solved it, at least for the album I'm currently listening to. It popped like crazy earlier today, just spun it again after hitting it with the anti static gun like you mentioned. No pops
It is so weird how all the pops are always in the first couple minutes. Listening to a new album right now. Both sides popped at the beginning and sound crystal clear for the rest of the side.
