I own precisely one Analogue Productions album: A Charlie Brown Christmas

It is just about as good as I can possibly imagine that album sounding.

Had the Sarah McLaughlin surfacing on my list for awhile and just recently had my eye on the Counting Crows august and everything after

I'd say it's worth splurging on the record you want most. Let it inform your future decisions.

(Now I'm browsing AP albums, damn you)

Tbh I thought of buying their copy of pet sounds because the version I have is a 2008 mono and I wonder how much better theirs can be (also tbh I might prefer the stereo since I feel I'm hearing more)

That and their copy of headhunters

@TheMythOfSisyphus I just wanted to know if the ap version is better than the 2008 version and if I should get mono and stereo (mono seems a bit too chunky and muffled)

@duke86fan don’t know about 2008 to compare. Admittedly my BB buying is extravagant. If you like the 2008 & you’re not trying to collect em all then stick w that. I have the stereo & 45RPM mono. If you prefer stereo then get that AP & keep your 08 for when you want mono mix

I have about 20 APs, including the Headhunters and Mono Pet Sounds. Remastering/Sound is great, pressings are great, jackets are usually high quality Tip Ons. I like them better than MoFis.

That Counting Crowes is worth every penny. And I just got the Chirping Crickets and Buddy Holly AP which are also great for $35 a piece...I may be able to get another CC for $40 if interested..if it's still there
