Newbury, Bullmoose, Seasick Records, Indy Record Shop... All these other than Newbury sell indie variants

Also ImportCDs (who go by a couple other names various places) and have their own site plus a big eBay presence. Usually can find 15-20% off orders of $65 or more (or something like that) happening in their eBay store. People have strong feelings about them too
1. RSD and getting a gift for someone
2. Amazon is a cult
3. I almost thought of rough trade but wanted to know if there was better

For post-RSD: Turntable Lab is good if you miss out on something. They do email alerts when they sell leftovers and I have gotten a few records that I didn't get it day off from them both RSD and RSDBF. Bullmoose is good too for after RSD. Finally for RSD, check eBay once the dust settles. There are a few independent stores who will sell their leftovers at same price as RSD with no gouging.
Only because you mentioned Rough Trade specifically, I’ve had problems with their US ordering site in the last 6-8 months (stuff ordered or preordered then never shipped) and their customer service seems to be largely non-existent.
@TheMythOfSisyphus the thing is like I have no local record stores and I wanna get someone either the miles Davis in a silent way songs or the doors live album
Music Direct, Acoustic Sounds, and Elusive Disc are good for fancy audiophile stuff but unfortunately exempt a lot of expensive things from the promos they run now.
@Memo yeah... i have a friend who is a huge fan of the doors (has all the first issues of their albums) and also is big into in a silent way by miles davis, so one of those 2 albums is really on my list of "i will gift it to them"
