Hmmm...I think I’ll need to add CCR’s Green River, too....

This is gonna venture into a hot take, but...I’m not really a fan of The Band’s sound. I’m sure they’re talented and very good at what they do. They haven’t grown on me, though

That is fair.

Great list. No love for King Crimson or Miles Davis? Or about 15 other albums, holy moly that year is hard to narrow down.

Yeah, I liked King Crimson but just not as much as the others. Miles is good, but i just have to wait a bit to buy In a Silent Way. My initial 1969 list was like 15 records long and way outside my budget.

I think that one's worth two of your months, but of course it's your plan. Are you also narrowing it down by what albums have good reissues available?

Man, wasn't choosing between Green River and Willy and the Poor Boys hard?

I love that you do this, @supahypeag ! I have noticed that some of your year lists don't include soul. Are you not a soul fan or just more unfamiliar with it? Cause there is a ton of great soul out there and I'm sure we can help steer you towards some if you want.

Yeah I’ve noticed the lack of soul, too. I did get a Supremes compilation, Ray Charles’ Modern Sounds, Etta James’ At Last!, James Brown’s Live at the Apollo, and Marvin Gaye’s United. I have Isaac Hayes lined up for ‘69. I couldn’t find a good aretha reissue, so I’ll try to get the December VMP version or I’ll just get a compilation.

I have almost a whole page of a list of stuff from the 50s I want but didn’t buy. I’m sure my list for the 60s will be even longer. But I’m making a dent!
