It's a shame that my first exposure to them was a car commercial. Not a lot you can do in my mind to come back from that.

But you are right. When VMP did that one for an essential I was surprised how fun an album it is.

oooh I was no longer a VMP member when that came out but I feel like I'll have to scoop a copy of this album eventually.

My wife and I have tickets for the Just Like Heaven fest in May. We've never seen Phoenix before so I'm excited. We were just talking yesterday specifically about how good that album is.

@Bohnjaggs I think they are a pretty perfect festival band. Really enjoyed seeming them live at a NYC fest a few years back.

Plus Thomas is married to Sofia Coppola, further cementing that family as one of deepest and most talented (+Shire, Schwartzman, Cage)

When I got the VMP pressing, there was a part where a piano played on the album and without thinking I turned back and looked at the piano in the room because I thought someone had just started playing it.

‘Love Like A Sunset, Pt. 2’ is super short, but oh so sweet.
