They aren’t bad, they are just incredibly overrated.

By and large I find Christgau to be an uptight cranky old man, but his Eagles piece is one I come back to.

Congratulations, the chucklefucks have finally broken you and now you are one of them.

Don’t listen to all the hipsters. Yeah there are a couple terrible songs (Heartache Tonight, Greeks), but there some serious bangers (In the City, Those Shoes) and The Sad Cafe is just gorgeous.

Greeks felt like I was being pranked in the middle of the album.

I still believe that Big Lebowski has hurt The Eagles cred more than anything. There was always a large group of music fans that hated the eagles but The Coen Brothers made it cool to hate them.

I will say what I said about Billy Joel. I lived through it the first time, don’t need to live through them again.

And by the above, I don’t mind if you want to listen to the Eagles, they are just not my cup of tea. I just like to make fun of ol’ cranky chuckle fuck
