From what I've read it's a bit of tricky thing price point wise. I do have a bit of biase to the one I linked because I always wait for Amazon sales and tend to use gift cards I get over the holidays. Definitely hard to recommend a 200$ power brick but that is the only one I have experience with
I think I got mine for 140$ Canadian just waiting for a sale to show up, I would just search Amazon for something in your price range and see if there's reviews from anyone using them in a studio setting
It's more of a problem up north here, with the hard winters and heavy grid use. I wanted something that didn't just surge protect but also filtered the electricity a bit and the Furman seemed to be the only good option for what I wanted to pay!
I have the pst on the hifi. Mine is is a six strip that u bought prepandemic for like $50. I use this on my television set up, cleared up a bunch of noise in the system there and cleaned up the picture too:
Furman Power Conditioner (SS6B) black https://a.co/d/iax1AX5
Thanks for posting this btw @bdm105. I got a 2 for 80 deal on those Furmans and just set them up. Needed a hard reminder as a couple of my strips dated back to the Bush era. Power is now conditioned and sounds crisp as ever.
Amazon. Strangely enough it seems they (3rd party) adjusted the price, must’ve realized they were well below market already
Furman SS6B 6 Plug Surge Protector (2 -Pack) Amazon.com
They shipped it via UPS and arrived within 2 days though.
