I’ll also give a bit of love to Blur which is my second favourite. Once you avoid Leisure and The Great Escape, and even those have a couple of good tracks each, there’s something worthy about them all.
Yeah I was a massive Blur fan through the first few albums then I kinda fell off from them as they went on. The whole later albums just didn't grab me like Modern Life and Parklife.
Those two are the highlights for sure. The Great Escape and it’s more obnoxious traits, and also growing up towards the North of England so oasis, did put me off them for a while. Blur and the albums afterwards did drag me back in! There is some really nice stuff across them, even if maybe they’re not quite so strong after s/t as full albums.
