The self titled held up fairly well. All these years later, I find it remarkable just how much it sounds like Nirvana, especially given the feeling back in the day that he had made a different kind of music.

I'm not real sure I had ever listened to The Colour and the Shape Before. The hits are bangers and really, beyond whatever nonsense See You is, it ain't got bad songs.

However, it's doesn't really flow as an album quite as well. It is also when the dreaded sing YELL CHORUS swallow microphone sing YELL CHORUS to the end starts.

It's odd this reaction to albums. Like when Punch Brothers announce an album, I just dive deep into their catalog the second I hear about a new one. Neil, Prince and (not so much anymore) The Beatles just result in that stuff getting spun more than usual but no deep dives (I also know more of all of that like the back of my hand)

Thoughts on Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace? Thats the album that got me into them as a boy! Haven't relistened to it in ages, though "Stranger Things Have Happened" is still a very very beautiful song.
