Sorry. My kid is done with a two hour drive. I can’t imagine a long flight.

Oh my! Good luck. I didn't do much traveling when my kids were toddlers.

He does okay in cars, usually gets fussy if his favorite song ‘Jolene’ isn’t playing lol
But I feel like it’s different since we will have him in our lap, only thing is if he gets fussy and wants to go crawling/walking around.

14 months was the sweet spot for awfulness for us. Toys only helped for so long before she started throwing them. Make sure you have an aisle seat as you will get up several times to try and soothe the baby (and change diapers). Buy a book of stickers which will keep them occupied for a bit.

Everything is refundable, so if we chicken out we can get our money/points back lol
@Melt Face Molly Drop that's great to know. We strictly chose the nonstop route because it'll be the Airbus 330 which has 2 seat rows.

We always bought seats for our kids instead of opting to hold them. Something about them being in their car seats keeps them quieter, happier, and more importantly, contained.

Have patience and it will be ok. Last September we travelled with our two kids and after 30min of a 2hrs flight, the older one was asking to get out of the plane. To have a seat with the window is nice as you can show him the outside.
