I take the records out of the boxset (not always true, see Mofi onesteps, or things like The Epic which are a boxset and an album) and put them in outsleeves. As a general rule, I do not have boxes on my shelves in outersleeves.
Yes - if it's a box set with records in individual LP jackets, they get an outer sleeve. Why would you deny these giving, loving albums proper protection just because they've been dealt a life inside a carton?
If they do then sure. But I don't think they would in the vmp anthologies for instance. Plus there should be enough space in the box that there's no risk of ring wear (I think?)
Nay because I can't be bothered to buy any in another size, but I kinda regret it - the Jack White Live at Bonnaroo and Undertale soundtrack are both pretty scuffed up by this point.
@Phaneronic i currently have 11 different kinds of sleeves (3 inners <7, 10, 12> 1 kind of 7 outer, 1 kind of 10 outer and the rest are different types of outers for 12 inch records.)
